YouthLinks Resilience and Livelihoods Program

The Resilience and Livelihoods Program aims to enhance the economic stability and resilience of vulnerable communities in Somalia by providing targeted interventions that promote sustainable livelihoods, food security, and climate adaptation. The program focuses on empowering individuals and communities through capacity-building, access to resources, and support for income-generating activities, all in line with the SPHERE standards.  we provide:

  • Entrepreneurship training to help individuals start and manage their own businesses.
  • Offer vocational training in trades such as carpentry, tailoring, and small-scale farming.
  • Offer cash assistance to vulnerable households to meet their immediate needs. Provide business grants to support the establishment and expansion of small enterprises.
  • Distribute agricultural inputs like seeds, tools, and fertilisers.
  • Implement training on sustainable farming practices and climate-smart agriculture.
  • Construct water harvesting infrastructure such as earth dams and rainwater harvesting systems.
  • Provide training on water management and conservation techniques.
  • Conduct training on gender equality, conflict management, and accountable leadership.
  • Implement climate change adaptation projects such as reforestation and ecosystem restoration.
  • Provide training on climate risk management and disaster preparedness.
